Application Process for First-Year Applicants

Merit-Based Scholarships

All students are eligible to receive merit-based scholarships, and every student who completes an application for admission is automatically considered for merit scholarship funding. No separate application is required, and you will be notified of your merit scholarship at the time of admission.

Need-Based Financial Aid

ÌÇÐÄVlog requires the FAFSA for all U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful U.S. permanent residents, and other eligible noncitizens applying for need-based financial aid. The CSS Profile is required only for students who are ineligible to complete the FAFSA, including international students applying for need-based financial aid. Students eligible to complete the FAFSA should not submit the CSS Profile.

Spring Applicants

How to Apply

File the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):

  • Complete the FAFSA online at by November 15. You and your parent must have an FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA.
  • Loyola University's FAFSA Code Number is 002078.

Application Deadline & Notification Dates

The final deadline to apply for need-based financial aid is November 15, but we encourage you to apply as soon as you can. If you submit your FAFSA and are accepted to the University, you will receive your financial aid package within a week of your acceptance.

Merit scholarship notification will be sent with the admission decision, and no separate application is required for merit awards. You will automatically be considered for every award we offer.

Fall Applicants

How to Apply

You can apply for financial aid in one easy step—by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):

  • Go to to complete an electronic FAFSA. You and your parent must have an FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA.  
  • Loyola’s FAFSA Code Number is 002078.

Apply Early

Don’t wait until you’ve been accepted to apply for aid! You and your family should plan to complete and submit the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 so you’re considered for the maximum amount of aid for which you are eligible. Completing this step early allows our office to have financial aid packages ready for accepted students within two days of receiving their admission decision.
